Government is accountable only if its citizens are both reasonably informed about what is important and what is happening, and only if citizens participate in what government does.

We cannot trust to politicians’ integrity and insight to do this job for us, nor can we trust the news media. It will only happen if good people understand that governance is about real choices, not false choices.
